Several weeks ago I posted about a gift for my friend that just had a baby...I love to take a meal and a small gift to neighbors and friends and here is what I do.
I like to choose a color scheme and make it look great...this time I used black and white and taupe as my color scheme...
I love to make custom tags for plain white gift bags and tie them with cute ribbons and tissue paper.
I am happy to announce that I now offer a similar gift set at my new ETSY shop,
Here is a similar set in pink, for a new baby girl:
it's also available in blue for a new baby boy...
you can click New Baby Gift and Meal Set to view and order at my Etsy shop.
Here are some more details about this set...
For babies, I make these cute photo albums/brag books, and maybe a baby powder scented sachet for their drawers.
For new mommies, I dress up a white coffee mug with coffees and chocolates and biscotti...
I love the tag, "Behind every successful woman is a significant amount of caffine" how true!
For the big brother and/or sister I like to give treats and bubbles...just a little something special for them!
I use these aluminum takeout boxes for the meal and wrap them up in pretty bow.
I even make a cute tag for the meal...
I have a lot of fun making these gifts...and luckily in our neighborhood, there are LOTS of new babies and friends to give them to!
Why not bless your friend or family member with this special gift and meal...the sets are made to order, ship anywhere in the continental US and you can even request a custom color! Everything is ready for you...just add a delicious meal or treats!

Dear Kristy,
Love your ideas! Thank you for sharing.
After giving a gift for the baby to be at the shower
I have always brought the new Mommy a gift of beauty
or flowers when I visit at the hospital.
I think it's a wonderful thing to do.
Cheers,
CBO

I love your cottage...beautiful haven...Are you stamping your tags or printing them on the computer?

Thank you for visting Starfish Cottage and for your kind comment... I use Stampin Up! stamps for most of my tags...but sometimes print from my computer.
Have a great holiday weekend!

What an absolutely fantastic idea! I know that anyone who receives that must feel so loved and special and I totally cracked up over the tag. So true! Especially in those first few weeks with a newborn. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and talent with us last weekend at Inspiration Friday!

How adorable! I'm always bringing meals to friends with new babies and I've never thought to attach sweet, little tags (not to mention the pretty tulle) to the items I drop off. Thank you for the inspiration!

What are some of your food ideas? Yummies in your tummies is the part I struggle with.

Love the take-out box idea! Your tags are beautiful. Gifts are so fun when they have a handmade element to them. Great post!

What food do you usually take?
Posted by: Whitney | 04/20/2014 at 08:55 PM
I fill one container with baked ziti, one with a tossed salad and one with garlic knots. I also like to add some cookies or brownies to the gift bag as well...thanks for your question!
