Wednesday, I blogged about my addiction to the "Little White Dress" here, while cleaning out my closet I came across another addiction- big, floppy straw beach hats...and evidently I have 6 of them!
Not sure how this addiction began, but my DREAM hats are made by a fabulous millinery on Nantucket by the name of Peter Beaton, here are two of my favorites...
Don't you love the woven case and striped hatboxes? Anyways, inspired by Peter Beaton, I selected 4 of my favorites, tied them with thick black grosgrain ribbons and hung them like artwork in our laundry/mudroom. My Laundry Room was in desparate need of a makeover!
The hats come from thrift stores, high-end boutiques, department stores and Target...don't they look beachy and cute hanging up together?
Unfortunatley, now everytime I do laundry I have a sudden urge to grab one and head straight for the beach...oh well!

These hats displayed this way make a truly beautiful effect. The black ribbon is an inspired touch. This is a delightful laundry!
