While the rest of the country starts preparing for fall, we in Florida prepare for "late summer" also known as "indian summer". Even though I love living in Florida this is my LEAST favorite time of the year. It can sometimes be hot (90+ degrees) into November...that said, it's hard for me to get out all of the traditional fall accessories and colors. In fact, I want my home to feel as light and airy as possible this time of year, so I tend to lighten up my colors even more- virtually all white! So, my home is now officially ready for "Late Summer"...I will bring out the pumpkins and fall foilage later in September! Family Room

I like to hold onto summer as long as possible! But your room colors are wonderful, and easily adaptable to fall when the time comes. Your rooms are so pretty and put together, and feel very livable to me!

I'm not a fan of fall either, or fall colors. Definately too hot here in Florida for all those warm colors.
Your decor absolutely takes my breath away! Soooo gorgeous! Wowsers, I can't wait to see what you do for the holidays.

Oh. My. Gosh. SO gorgeous! I live in Alabama so really we don't get "fall" weather until November. I still have out my coral and starfish decor but I'm thinking at the end of August, I will take that down and do something else...I'm not sure what. But, like you, it is still so hot here in September and October it's hard to get into the autumn leaf look. Some of the leaves on our trees are changing yellow and falling but it's 'cause they are exhausted by the heat...not the cool weather!

Beautiful! Every time I think I am ready to add more color I see a decor like yours and I fall in love with white all over again! You have such a lovely way of putting rooms together. Your master bedroom window treatments are gorgeous, that room is so-o-o nice!

I'm so glad I found your blog through French Country Cottage! Your home is beautiful!! Even though shells usually are something you think about for summer the colors do remind me of Fall. We just moved from Las Vegas and I know just what you mean about instead of Fall you have second summer! :)
