I absolutley LOVE rooms that are multi-functional. Every room should serve some kind of purpose, and a really GREAT room has many functions. Such is the case with my "Dining Room/Craft Room/Design Studio". Since I love crafting and scrapbooking and have TONS of "stuff" I needed a place to keep everything as well as a place to "spread out" clients projects when working...here was my solution:
My skirted buffet doubles as craft and storage space- the base is 2 industrial grade shelving units. I simply added a fabric skirt and a custom cut mirrored top. All my "stuff" is nicely concealed, but also accessible to the large dining table when I am working.
A pair of buffet lamps and a planter with flowers completes the look! Here is my dining room when it doubles as a "craft room"...
