This year we celebrated Chinese New Year's with a fun Chinese-themed dinner. We ate Chinese food and had fun learning about the most populated country in the world...here's what we did:
The Table-
Of course, I set the table in festive red and white, complete with red paper lanterns and the Chinese flag...
I used a plain white table cloth and a red runner.
For the centerpiece, I used Chinese Restaurant takeout boxes, tissue paper and the official national flag. I also sprinked the table with fortune cookies and small votive candles.
Above the centerpiece hanging from our chandelier were some red paper lanterns.
To keep it simple, we used white paper plates and napkins, and don't forget the chopsicks! Everyone got their meal served in take out containers.
The Food-
This meal couldn't be easier- I simply ordered and picked up a few of our Chinese favorites from our local takeout place - Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Lo Mein and some Egg Rolls.
The kiddos had never tried Chinese food before, and it got mixed reviews, but we were glad they tried it! (I also had chicken nuggets and fruit and veggies on back-up in case.)
The Fun-
For fun, we all tried eating with chopsticks...which is easier said than done,
I also printed out several "fun facts" about China and we learned a little about the country and the Chinese New Year's holiday traditions.
To finish the meal, we all got to "eat the centerpiece"- our fortune cookies. We had fun reading each other's fortunes!
This was my kind of dinner- no cooking, no cleaning...just having fun together and learning new things. Stay tuned for Oscar Night Dinner coming next Friday!

You made some decent points there. I looked online for the problem and identified most individuals will go together with with your web site.
