So when we purchased this home, the kitchen looked like this:
We had so much work to do in here (painting cabinets, new backsplash, etc), and the pendant lights above the kitchen island had to go...they were of all things...bright cobalt blue!!!
So, in an effort to save a few bucks, instead of purchasing new ones, I simply removed the cobalt blue glass and replaced it with these "woven shades" (read: Target wastebaskets!!!) We simply measured and cut holes in the bottom of the wastebaskets so they would fit the fixture...
They worked like a charm, and I get such great feedback about them, I have a hard time confessing that they are really TRASHCANS.
You never know what you can do with a little creativity!

I love the new lights. We have canned spots (UGLY) over our bar and for the longest time I've wanted to replace them with beautiful, small pendants. I'm so inspired by your new look!!

Its like you read my thoughts! You appear to grasp so much approximately this, like you wrote the guide in it or something. I feel that you simply could do with some % to force the message house a little bit, but other than that, that is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.

That's more of a style. Far better than it was before. When I saw the first picture, I see there's a problem with the color. And when the project is done, cheren!, you reap it. The combination of white with dark accents appeals to every one.
