So this year, I decided with the new house to try a new colorscheme for Christmas...and the light "coastal blues" look so great! In addition to a few new blue ornaments for the tree, I pulled out some of my favorite light blue pillow covers for the Family Room sofa and chairs...
I have this great blue pillow with a beautiful embroidered coral design too...
Another new thing for me this Christmas is a real MANTLE!!! Now we have a place to hang stockings!!!
I tied the stockings each with some pretty blue satin ribbon and a starfish, of course!

Things are coming along nicely with our Christmas decor...I am LOVING the new colors this year...who says BLUE doesn't work for the holidays?

I agree - Blue definitely works for the holidays! I've been doing a blue color scheme each Christmas since we moved to Texas three years ago.
