It's finally time to "reveal" the before and after photos of the kitchen/breakfast room...this area may win the award for most dramatic before and after...here are the before pictures:
The kitchen boasted light oak bead board cabinets, dark black glass backsplash and cobalt blue accent lighting...not bad, but not my style!
The breakfast area is spacious and filled with windows and light!
Here are the "after" photos! We had the cabinets painted white, replaced the backsplash with something more neutral and retro-fitted the accent lighting with "woven shades" (more on this project later!) I am THRILLED with the changes...
My white barstools look great, and I am loving my collection of black lanterns and nautical photographs here.
The woven shades add an interesting natural touch to the space.
The potted orchid with starfish was a housewarming gift from friends...two of my favorite things! White orchids and starfish...so thoughtful of them!
We are loving our new breakfast area too...the large table can accomodate 6-8 comfortably- yay! Now we don't have to eat in the formal dining room every time we have company!
The centerpiece is a basket filled with fall foilage and baby white pumpkins...this will be updated soon of course with Christmas decor.

Wow! What a dramatic change! The cabinets look fabulous and the white really brings out the beadboard insets. The removal of the backsplash and under bar trim really make it looks soothing and crisp. Great job! The wall color is perfect as well, do you have the color and maker? It is the perfect shade of tan. Wonderful decorations! I am also incredibly impressed with your unpacking speed, we have been our " new" house for years and still have boxes that I put in attic that did't get unpacked! Congrats!
