Ok, so I admit that I am not a musical person- not a musically talented bone in my body...but I love music so when my girls wanted to take lessons, I jumped at the chance for them to learn!
We bought a guitar and got our piano moved back to our house (it had been at a friend's house for the past year or so) and I created a little "music room" in a corner of my office...
Our piano was a gift from Greg's mom when we first had Hayley...it has moved with us to many houses and I am sooo glad it is finally getting some use!
I just love the way it looks in my office...
To "accessorize" it, I added a pretty frame with antique sheet music and a pair of hurricane vases and a few seashells...who says a piano can't look "coastal"?
In the corner, Hayley added her music stand and guitars...
Hopefully...many hours of beautiful music will come from this room...so glad my girls have the opportunity to learn!

We just returned from a visit to my mother-in-law's place, and we bought back her electric piano, so that my son (who is 12) can start playing the piano - my husband is a guitar player, and plays in a "garage" band in our home theater on a weekly basis, so I'm hoping that our son takes music seriously - I regret giving up guitar lessons when I was 13 after I took them for just a couple of months.
I love the coastal flair you've added to your piano!
