Susan @ My Place to Yours

I'm not a fan of the blood and gore either and don't even decorate for Halloween anymore. If the grandone lived nearby, I'd do a little something, but I much prefer your "take" on Halloween! Love the white pumpkins!

This looks amazing! And I'm right there with you...can't handle the blood, skulls, etc. that come with Halloween. I do love me some candy corn, though! ;) I have three girls, and they're all just like me (can't even watch Scooby Doo without having to change the channel). lol Maybe next year we'll try a pink Halloween theme and see how that takes on. Ha!

Just beautiful! Love the white pumpkins. I'm with you - Halloween is my least favorite holiday too.

LOVE your black and white decor. You can leave it up clear thru Thanksgiving then switch to Christmas/Winter. Beautifully and cleverly done.

Shelley @ Calypso In the Country

Love your subtle touches. I have been into those white pumpkins this year too!

So elegant. Love it.

love it!! You did a great job incorporating the sea and Halloween!! so pretty.

Heidi @ Show Some Decor

Like your thinking! I'm a no-gorey-decorations gal myself... just some simple pumpkins and I'm good to go. Love the black and white. :)

Love the simple blacks and whites :)

looks wonderfukl~

Oh I love this. I love the white and black and how you have so creatively arranged everything. It is just stunning!

Andrea Baumhardt

Your decor is stunning! The white is so clean and crisp. andrea@townandprairie

I'm not for the spooky either. I love your version. It's beautiful.

Gorgeous as always!! Martina

Shari @ My Cottage of Bliss

As always, your house looks beautiful and I much prefer your take on Halloween since I don't care for Halloween either. Just yesterday I heard that Halloween decor has started to outsell Christmas decorations! I just don't quite understand the popularity.

I wanted to tell you I have not changed my mind about that consult...just have a little too much on my plate right now. In fact, I have taken a blogging break to focus on a few other things. However, if you ever want to bring your girls out to the farm, let me know. We have a nice group of little girls out here around your oldest's age and my daughter said she would love to have your little equestrian join them. :)

I completely agree about decorating for Halloween. I like to be festive but with so many blow up grim reapers and skeletons around, I like to be low key about it. I love your style, I think it is festive but very tasteful!

Marie @ Sally Lee by the Sea

Fabulous and gorgeous as always! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Halloween is my least favorite holiday, too! I think it's probably because I was raised in Australia, and there was no such thing as Halloween (at least back when I was a kid - I don't know if things have changed since then). I love sitting on my porch and handing out candy to the local children, but I don't decorate either indoors or out for the holiday.

I love what you've done with your home, though!

Just discovered your blog - this room is absolutely fabulous!

Do you have a glass top or mirror on your craft table/buffet? I've been trying to figure that out. Each time I look at your pictures, I notice something I didn't see the first time I looked.
