I love how you managed to bring some fall into your "coastal decor". I moved to Florida last year and I just couldn't imagine using my traditional fall decor I already had. You have given me some great ideas with the white pumpkins and starfish. I already have sunflowers on my front doors. My daughter's favorite and one of mine too.

Susan

I can't think about fall yet when it's still close to 100 here every day, but I love the touches of yellow you have introduced into your living room.

Your seasonal decor has definitely been an inspiration to me - it's amazing what you can do to a room just by switching out the pillows, and making some changes to your coffee table - I really need to start thinking beyond the blue & white in my living room...

LOVE the yellow paired with your slip cover whites and brown / natural linens! PERFECT! Great inspiration! Thanks for sharing over at Susan's!

I've been trying not to say goodbye to summer, still somuch I haven't accomplished but your post has helped me get ready for fall! Your home is beautiful, so warm and inviting and the sunflowers are such a sweet addition!

Oh I have been anxiously waiting to see your fall decorations. The color combination of yellows, browns, and naturals is absolutely beautiful! The sunflower arrangements will be something on my do to list:) Love that you used a Ball jar. How cute! Great inspiration! Cannot wait to see your tablescape.

Wow Beautiful!

I loved how you mixed the white pumpkins and the white starfish. I have always had a problem trying to figure out what to do with all that ORANGE in the fall. Apparently my answer is simply ... WHITE. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love everything. This is my goal with my current re-do of my living and dining rooms. To have all the big stuff neutral and be able to change out the accessories. I've a ways to go but I'm getting there! Thanks for linking up to Open House Party! I adore your blog.

Simone

this is lovely. Thanks for sharing.

There's nothing prettier than fresh white cabinets in my book. Ours are dark cherry and if I could talk my DH into allowing them to be painted white, I'd do it in a flash! These houses were built in 1977 with dropped ceilings and 4 fluerescent lights hidden in the ceiling covered by plastic panels. It's now 2011 and if I can get my handyman to change that, I would. I know he has changed my neighbors next door but don't know what the cost was. My kitchen at my former home was like yours and I loved being able to decorate above there like you have. Only drawback on that, it tends to take on dust and kitchen grime and grease unless you get up there and take it down and clean it on a regular basis I found. It's just not a place you think to clean monthly or weekly. I love how you've decorated above the cabinets.

Any idea how I could add some color to plain white subway tiles without damaging the tiles themselves? We had new countertops installed 2 yrs. ago. DH insisted on Granite but settled on Quartz because of the expense, so I ended up settling for plain old white subway tiles to keep the cost down. It is so blah and I hate it! A friend suggested some decals but if I wanted to remove those decals..what would I use without damaging the tile?
Any suggestions?
